PEEF, in collaboration with the Overseas Employment Corporation, offers a fully funded program for nurses in Pakistan to work as US-RNs in the USA. The program includes six months of training covering NCLEX-RN and OET exams, soft skills, computer skills, CGFNS documentation, and USA state board registration.
Since 2015, the Pakistan Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF), previously known as the National Endowment Scholarships for Talent (NEST), has embraced its role in nurturing the dreams of students who face financial barriers. PEEF focuses on empowering students in critical sectors such as nursing, arts, and culture, providing scholarships that not only elevate their educational journey but also enrich their communities. Hailing from the underserved area of Ghizer in Gilgit Baltistan, Margus faced immense challenges in pursuing higher education. During her BS studies, Margus suffered the loss of her father, making it even more difficult to continue her education. Despite these obstacles, she remained steadfast and determined, refusing to give up on her dreams. Her perseverance paid off when she completed her degree at Shifa College of Nursing, earning a gold medal in MSN 2021 for her outstanding achievements. Today, Margus serves as the Principal at HBS College of Nursing, where she gives back to her community with pride and dedication. Margus’s story highlights the power of determination and the impact of educational success, showing how one individual can rise above challenges to make a meaningful difference.
Ali, once a scholarship recipient and now the principal of his college, is a tremendous source of pride for our program. His success motivates us to continue our efforts, reminding us that supporting talented students can lead to remarkable achievements and meaningful change in our community.
Receiving this scholarship was a turning point in my life. It not only relieved my financial burden but also gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams without limitations. Now, as the principal of a college, I am in a position to give back and help others reach their potential. This program didn’t just help me; it set a foundation for me to help others. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and support I received, and I am committed to passing on this legacy of empowerment.
